The ESI Institute of Pain Management was established on 5th September, 2013 as a function of the ‘’Manpower Development Institute” (an autonomous Society constituted with administrative officers and academic coordinators of the Department of Labour under the chairmanship of Honorable Minister in Charge in the Department of Labour, Government of West Bengal; later on registered as ESI Manpower Development Society vide registration no: S/M/624 of 2013/2014 dated 10th March 2014 ) with the objectives of “Treatment, Training and Research”...   • The Visit to the Hospital has to brought to light the unique initiative on Pain Management. ESIC should use the facility for training more doctors. The other infrastructure improvement should also be undertaken. The state government should also put more manpower for providing effective health services to the insured persons in West Bengal. My appreciation and best wishes to the staff and doctors of the hospital.
