(Pain Management clinic) is running with repute and steadily increasing trend in attendance of the patients suffering from chronic painful conditions including cancer pain. Every year about 7000 above patients attends the clinic being referred from all over the ESI MB Scheme, West Bengal. Apart from acute and chronic low back pain (Prolapsed intervertebral disc, Facet Joint arthropathy, Sacroiliac joint arthropathy, Myofascial pain etc), chronic painful conditions from head and neck ( headache, trigeminal neuralgia, cervical facet joint , herpetic neuralgia, glossopharyngeal neuralgia, cervical disc prolapsed, myofascial pain etc), thoracic region (Intercostal neuralgia, thoracic facet joint pain, collapse vertebra etc), Abdominal and pelvic pain ( from chronic pathology of pancreas, liver, gall bladder, pelvic viscera, coccidyniaetc), pain from joints and extremities (Shoulder and Knee pain, phantom limb pain, deafferentation pain etc), painful conditions of advanced cancer from all over the body were also treated effectively.They are also evaluated by Orthopedician, Neurologist, Neurosurgeon, Oncologist, Psychiatrist, General Surgeon and Gynaecologists as and when necessary for effective management.
